Roof Top Solar Hot Water
The close couple solar system has storage tank installed on the roof directly coupled above the solar collectors. Heat is absorbed by the collector, As the temperature of the panel’s fluid increases, the hot fluid rises through the collector by the Natural Thermosiphon Principle, and into the storage tank. Very simple & very effective, very efficient.
Split Solar Hot Water
Water is circulated from the tank at ground level through the solar collectors by a small circulating pump. As the sun heats the water in the solar collectors, the increase in temperature switches on the pump whenever the water in the solar collectors is hotter than the water in the solar storage tank. The circulator moves the hotter water from the solar collectors back to the storage tank. This process continues whilst solar energy is available, and the water needs heating.

A heat pump uses the heat from the surrounding air and doesn’t rely on direct sunlight to heat your water and provides a reliable, efficient and sustainable way to reduce your water heating energy consumption.
